About Jeff Stevens
Jeffery R. Stevens, CPA, is the owner & manager of Stevens Accounting Solutions. His practice focuses on helping small & medium sized businesses manage, control, & maintain their financial operations. Jeff specializes in nonprofit organizations, however, he provides services to all businesses, whether they are for profit or not for profit.
Services include outsourced CFO services, business and accounting consulting services, auditing, accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation.
Jeff received his Certified Public Accountant license in 2008 and has 35 years of experience in accounting and business management, in both private industry and public practice.
Jeff was born outside of Philadelphia and grew up there until his family moved to Long Island, New York when he was a teenager. Jeff attended Ithaca College in upstate New York and graduated in 1983.
Jeff learned accounting by actually keeping books! Right before the computer age, the books referred to were actually books. His passion for what he does is rooted in his desire to help people. He wants to help business owners or managers improve their internal business activities; making what they do from a financial perspective more effective, beneficial or easy, so that they can better concentrate on managing their business.
Currently residing in Sarasota, Jeff avidly enjoys reading, sports, and his hobbies, collecting baseball cards and genealogy. Jeff’s family includes his mom, his lovely girlfriend, his collegiate son and his shadow, a beloved Havanese named Lincoln.
